MYSTERY SOLVED?

(ON THE COVER): It’s been over a decade since collectors have debated the origin of decoys attributed to Bill Bowman of Maine and Long Island. The four most famous rigs credited to his hand have all been traced to Southampton, the home of Charles Sumner Bunn, a Shinnecock Indian, and all were used by hunters that were his friends or clients. We may never settle the debate, but this new angle may cause some to take a second look.collection in the November/December issue of Decoy Magazine!
